Hi, my name is Alex and as soon as I wake up in the morning, I start thinking about food from what I’m going to eat for breakfast to what I’m going to make for dinner that night and everything in between. It is an obsession. One that my husband and family often times gets annoyed with because I treat each meal like it might be my last. And wouldn’t it suck for my last meal to be a bad one?
I started blogging about food in spring 2009 when I was living in Las Vegas. Recession Recipes became an outlet for me when I was an unemployed art historian living in a town that didn’t really like art while my husband Carlo finished his MBA.
Fast forward to December 2011 and I’m happily living back in Austin, Texas with a job in the arts and an insatiable desire for all things food-related. While Recession Recipes chronicled my attempts to still eat and drink well on a tight budget, Foodsessed widens to include all things food-related from my favourite places to eat in Austin and around the world to anything that satiates my hunger for something awesome.
